About the Vaccine Clinic Finder

The national Vaccine Clinic Finder (VCF) is a complete list of all general practices, pharmacies, Aboriginal Medical Services (AMF) and state vaccination hubs providing COVID-19 vaccines. It was developed to improve access to COVID-19 vaccines and will continue to be developed as an important and enduring component of our national digital health infrastructure, with potential use for other purposes.

All approved COVID-19 vaccination providers who offer vaccinations to the public must be listed on the VCF so patients can be directed to their services through the VCF to make their booking either online or by phone. Patients answer a few simple questions to find the nearest and most convenient location, check opening hours and address, view appointment availability in real time and book an appointment all in one place. For patients who do not have access to the internet or are not skilled with using online systems, they can they still phone the practice and book a vaccine appointment.

Where general practices have an online appointment booking system there will be a link patients can use to make a booking. Where general practices only take telephone bookings there will be a phone number to call.

Benefits of the Vaccine Clinic Finder

  • Makes finding and booking a vaccination appointment easy for the patient.

Patients can see at a glance the vaccines, appointment times and various locations these are offered.

  • Supports practices to market themselves as a vaccine clinic.

New and existing patients can find your practice details and book in for a vaccination at your clinic.

  • Reduces the administrative burden on practices.

General practice administration staff spend less time fielding enquiries regarding vaccines via phone, email and in person, allowing more time to focus on business as usual activities.

  • Improves management of resources and vaccine supplies.

Particularly when online appointment booking systems are integrated to the VCF, practices can manage waiting lists to fill cancellation appointment spots more efficiently.
